Details of Activities
1. Microorganisms observation meetings
Very pointed questions are asked and even teachers get an opportunity to learn again.
It is fun to look in the microscope and the children when sparkle in their eyes.
At the time of organizing an event, we look for people who can work as staff to help us.
You can experience a completely different kind of fun than your day-to-da research activities.
Besides, for young researchers, this is a great opportunity for making social contribution and advancing their career from the aspect of educational experience.
Also for young researchers, it is a great opportunity for career advancement in social and educational experience surface.
2. Symposiums for citizens
For providing an opportunity to people other than researchers where they can experience the fun of microorganisms research and understand their importance,
We have been organizing public symposiums.
(Past symposiums: in Japanese) リンク
3. Micro-Eco Camp (MEC)
We organize Micro-Eco Camp (MEC) as training workshop mainly for students and young researchers. This workshop is a lodging style training camp of about 5 days.
Afternoon session is mainly focused on lectures and practical training including sampling, while evening session is for introducing the research works of participants and discussing hot issues. Working people are also welcome to participate.
Starting from 1998, this camp has been so far organized 10 times + one time of special camp.
4. Skill enhancement seminar for researchers
Many people including non-members participated in the first seminar.
We look forward to receiving your suggestions for future events.
